Moving the Blade Facility: A Journey of Precision and Teamwork by Tranzaction - South Africa

ree

We are pleased to showcase the latest achievement from our Centrolene member, Tranzaction – South Africa. Their project, “Moving the Blade Facility,” highlights outstanding precision, teamwork, and execution.

Planning the Move

Before the first bolt was loosened, weeks of planning went into this project. Insurance was arranged, and every detail, from dismantling and packing to securing transport and scheduling police escorts—was carefully mapped out.

Game Day: The Big Lift

On December 2nd, the real action started. The press was carefully loaded and crated—a task that took hours due to its sheer size and weight. Our team worked tirelessly, often late into the night, to ensure everything was strapped and secured for the journey.

The Road to Durban

Once packed, the press began its journey to Durban port under police escort. Delays in Pietermaritzburg tested our patience, but persistence paid off. By December 6th, the press was at the RORO terminal, ready to be loaded onto the Mafi trailer. Despite minor hiccups—the integrity of the press remained intact.

On Board and Beyond

By December 9th, the press was safely loaded onto the vessel. Watching that final crate being secured was a moment of triumph for everyone involved. From there, the shipment made its way to Jebel Ali, where it was successfully offloaded in March 2025.

Loading and Packing 12 OT Containers

After securing the heated press on the vessel, our team continued with another major task: loading and packing 12 Open Top (OT) containers. Each container was carefully packed with additional equipment and materials required for the blade facility relocation. This process required precision and coordination to ensure that all items were properly secured for the long journey. Despite the tight schedule, the team managed to complete the packing efficiently, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and attention to detail.

Teamwork Makes It Possible

This move was more than a logistical challenge—it was a testament to teamwork, resilience, and precision. From coordinating insurance and transport to handling unexpected delays and ensuring safety at every stage, our team delivered excellence under pressure.
